Currently in fashion, mainly for it's anti-inflammatory effects, I've written about the benefits of turmeric before. Not only is it anti-inflammatory, but turmeric also has anti-microbial properties. I have turmeric with hot water, lemon and ginger most days, but as the evenings draw in, I'm looking to supercharge it, and of course add in some skin friendly ingredients too:
1 x banana
1 x t1/2 teaspoon ground turmeric
1 x small knob ginger, peeled
2 x tbsp flaxseed oil
1 can of coconut milk (I use the full fat version, but either should work)
Handful of raspberries
Juice of 1/3 of a lemon

Blend it all together, with a scoop of collagen powder for extra bonus points. Make sure you use a straw ( I have just been given a metal reusable one, so I am delighted not to have to buy paper ones anymore!), as the turmeric really can stain your teeth. I take this as a breakfast on the go, as anything that saves me time in the morning and benefits my skin is really a win-win!
